The Minnesota Reader is a newspaper experiment.

Newspaper publishers ourselves, we want to see if Minnesotans who care about local news use this site as a jumping off point to read stories in online editions from Rochester to Minneapolis to International Falls.

And if they do, will they sign up and rate those stories--vote them up or vote them down--so we can see a bit more clearly what readers care about and what they don't?

We think they might. And if they do, we hope that they spark an interest here, leave a comment and click through to the online version of the local paper they grew up with, moved away from or still read every day.
