Dunn Bros Coffee Owner feels "used" by Ron Case


A local blogger stopped by Dunn Brothers, the controversial city-owned coffee shop that has been so much in the news lately. She found the stacks of Ron Case literature there near the cash register and more literature on the bulletin board. There was no literature for any other candidate.
Dunn Brothers is a government building. It should not be used to as one particular candidate's exclusive campaign headquarters. The owner said she feels "used" by Ron Case and promised to remove the literature immediately.

10-year-old boy at run club collapses, dies


 

A 10-year-old Oak Point Intermediate student collapsed Friday afternoon while at run club at Oak Point. Joshua Damptey was then transported to a hospital where he died.

Nat'l Republicans Bail On Paulsen


The news for Erik Paulsen's campaign keeps getting worse. Today, it was reported on Minnesota Public Radio that the National Republican Congressional Committee cancelled another batch of TV ads for Erik Paulsen.
NRCC cancels another week for Paulsen, cuts back on Bachmann's time too.

Eden Lake Elementary School teacher Karen Fogarty was named "Teacher of the Year" by Eden Prairie's Wal-Mart store. She was surprised with the honor on Friday with students, parents and her family members visiting the school for the event.

Picking a pumpkin


Conner Moore, 3, of Shakopee, picks up a pumpkin at Marshall's Farm Market. A full pumpkin patch and locally grown produce is available for sale at Marshall's, which is located at the corner of Eden Prairie Road and Pioneer Trail.
