Tennis: Season ends for Raiders in sections


Last Tuesday, Hastings High School girls tennis head coach Mick Willette said his team had just played its best match of the season.
The result was a 5-2 win against Owatonna in the first round of the Section 1AA Tournament.

The Raiders needed a strong finish Thursday against Mounds View to win.
And they got it.

Gelhar taking steps on long road to recovery


Throughout his days of playing hockey in Hastings, Ryan Gelhar seemed to have a different nickname every year.

Combine closes Highway 61 bridge for hours


A farm combine closed down traffic over the Highway 61 bridge for 2 and 1/2 hours Wednesday night. Hastings Police assisted with traffic control.
