The emphasis was on the economic bailout going through Congress last week, but the topics were wide-ranging as the three candidates for Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District sparred during a forum in a packed Stillwater City Council chambers Oct. 1.

On a night when many St. Croix Valley residents were home watching the vice presidential debate between Sen. Joe Biden and Gov. Sarah Palin, two candidates for the Washington County Board met to discuss issues at a sparsely attended candidates' forum at Oak Pak Heights City Hall.
